We’re Tyrus and Shakeela Monroe, the husband-and-wife team behind First State Party Pros, based in Dover, Delaware, and proudly serving families and communities throughout the First State.

With Tyrus’s background as a licensed electrician and Shakeela’s experience in customer service, we bring a unique combination of technical skill and personalized care to every event we support. After completing a five-year apprenticeship with IBEW 313, Tyrus was ready to invest that same dedication into building something of our own. Starting First State Party Pros felt like the perfect way to give back to our community by helping people celebrate life’s special moments.

Our business was born from a simple frustration: trying to find a reliable, customer-focused rental company that offered flexibility, fair pricing, and clear communication. We decided to become the company we once searched for — one that puts the customer first, keeps its promises, and treats every event with care.
